This Pinotage Rosé wine was made from grapes harvested from 30-year old Pinotage bush vines, grown in the premium wine producing area of Stellenbosch. The brilliant deep colour of the wine results from the crushed grapes remaining in contact with their red skins for a period of 12 hours. This also gives greater depth and richness to the deliciously fresh red fruit flavours of Pinotage. A perfect summer drink, this bone dry wine is best served chilled and is an ideal accompaniment to cold meats, salads, tuna steaks and aromatic or spicy meat dishes.
Zonnebloem sources the best grapes from growers in the historic Stellenbosch region to create its range of critically acclaimed wines, combining time-honoured traditions with state of the art techniques to produce well-structured classic wines that exemplify the craft of winemaking.
Style: Elegand with fresh citrus notes, a hint of minerality and oak, ending in a creamy finish.
Serve: Chillied - enjoy on its own or with cheeses, fish and white meats.
