This Chardonnay was blended from a selection of the best wines from the ultra-ripe harvest.  From the start, our aim was to produce a Chardonnay with intense fruit flavour and real character utilising quality grapes.

All fruit was harvested in the early hours and the juice pressed while the grapes were still cool to help retain aroma and flavour.  The wine was tank fermented with an element of quercus fragmentus which added greater weight and complexity.

The wine shows classic ripe, rich butter and tropical fruit on the nose and soft, well integrated vanilla on the palate.

Rich in colour, fruity in taste with a slight pettilance and earthy presence. Picked early to be drunk by young. And often! Graca is the best selling white corked wine in South Africa, constantly selling more than 2 million litres per annum since 1990. Graca is a wine with a difference - in both taste and personality. It is widely known as the seafood wine. Graca is a friendly, exuberant wine. It has warmth, charm, a "cheeky" personality and a continental image. The blend appeals to both occasional and knowledgeable drinkers. The brand suits a fun-loving, outgoing lifestyle. Graca can be enjoyed either when dining with friends at a restaurant or alone at home. Graca is packaged in a most unusual bottle and label reminiscent of imported wines. The packaging has an upmarket presence with a difference.

Named after five stone pine trees that stand sentinel over the farm.  This elegant Chardonnay is fermented and matured in casks for 15 months and is redolent of flint, peach, citrus and roasted nuts.

This wine can be enjoyed in its youth, however the benefits of bottle age and greated complexity will be revealed by patient maturation under ideal cellar conditions.
