Produced according to the Méthode Cap Classique, the Backsberg Kosher Brut is the first of its kind in South Africa.  Crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, our winemaker has succeeded in creating an elegant and rewarding Brut to be nejoyed on any occasion.

This wine is Mevushal and Kosher for Passover, made under the auspices of the Cape Town Beth Din and the OU of the United States.

Silverthorn Wines produces a range of top end, Methode Cap Classique wines. On the nose, fresh aromas of green apple and acacia blossom backed up by subtle hints of minerality and whiffs of freshly baked brioche. A well balanced palate with an elegant structure, fine mousse which imparts a gentle explosion of bubbles on the palate and a long finish. 34 Months on lees and bottle fermented.
