Leopards Leap Pinotage Shiraz

Based in Franschhoek, in the heart of South Africa's wine district, Leopard's Leap crafts its wines from the finest grapes picked from the best vineyards in the Cape winelands, home to the magnificent Cape Mountal Leopard. Soft and medium-bodied this wine reflects the distinctive characteristics of both varietals in the blend. Plum and mulberry flavours are supported by vanilla undertones while the character is spicy and peppery, with a firm tannin structure. An ideal companion with oxtail, roast pork or hearty stews, as well as liver, quiche or cold meats. Leopard's Leap is also a proud sponsor of The Cape Leopard Trust, which seeks to protect the magnificent Cape Mountain Leopard. The endangered leopards make their home in part of the Cape winelands.

Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage

This prestige pinotage was produced with special purpose:  To honour an intimate friendship between a master vintner and his loyal dog, but also to exhibit the individuality of South Africa's indigenous grape in ultimate cellar artistry.

Allowing for dedicated vineyard expression and crafted from the best barrels, the wine showcases the complexity, finesse, broadness of palate, depth and length obtainable when all components are skillfully harmonised and terroir respected.

Colour: Deep dark red middle with a ruby red rim.

Bouquet: Rich blackcurrant and black cherry fruit upfront combines well with the elegant cedar oak aromas.

Tasting notes: A big structured Pinotage with intense dark fruit flavours. A complex middle leads to a smooth finish with pleasant cedar flavours from the oak. Great balance between fruit and oak will allow superb ageing in the bottle for 10 years and more. The ideal match to spicy Indian dishes or a well matured rump/sirloin steak.

Rustenberg Peter Barlow

The Peter Barlow pays tribute to the man who had the foresight to purchase Rustenberg in the 1940s and invest in making it the icon it is today.  No expense is spared in the making of this wine:  it is sourced from hand-harvested Cabernet Sauvignon from acclaimed vineyards on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain in Stellenbosch, and aged for 24 months in French oak.  It exhibits an abundance of cassis and blackcurrant, with hints of cedar and cigar box, plenty of body and a structured backbone of fine-grained tannins.  Patient cellaring of this wine will be rewarded.
