Rijk's Cellar is situated in the historic and picturesque valley of Tulbagh, where wines have been made for over three centuries.

Elegance, finesse and concentration of fruit are the hallmarks of Rijk's wines. In the last 14 years Rijk's Pinotage has won more local and international awards than any other producer of Pinotage in the world.  Cellermaster Pierre Wahl specially selected 15 barrels of the 2012 vintage to roudly release Rijk's Reserve Pinotage. 

Heavy savoury oak aromas combined with pencil shavings and hints of dark fruits, plum and cassis. This wine shows great structure and balance. Initial Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics are followed up with a spicy finish from the Shiraz. With great tannin structure and a strong backbone this wine has excellent ageing potential.
