In a small cellar in the Jonkershoek valley limited quantities of hand-picked grapes are personally vinified by Ettiene le Riche into red wines which reflect the nature of the fruit and the soil. These wines are oak-matured and after further maturation they will be quite superb.
A rich and full-bodied wine with ripe berry fruit, cherry and delicate oak spice flavours, firm tannins and a lingering aftertaste. Excellent on its own or with roast lamb, red meat such as beef and venison, red meat casseroles, poultry and game bird dishes.
This dry red wine impresses with its balanced character. Hints of cherries, plums and chocolate on the nose, subtle notes of wood and pepper in the taste and a velvety-soft finish of enormous length make this top shiraz an absolutely unforgettable wine experience.
