Offering rich black cherry and raspberry flavours and floral notes, fine tannins and a mouth filling lingering complexity. Overgaauw is a wine estate of distinction situated on south facing slopes overlooking the Stellenbosch Valley. Deep granite soils and cool sea breezes enable the ideal cultivation of noble grape varieties. The resultant wines are nurtured to perfection by the inherited passion and experience of four generations of Van Velden Winemakers.

Series C takes its name from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc which predominantly defines the style of this wine. The Series C style is that of a firm, powerful and concentrated wine, rich in fruit at release and blended for long aging. The Cabernet comes from our most potent blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, the Cabernet Franc displays hints of violet flowers and elegance while the Merlot component gives it a velvety texture.

This wine is produced byt eh La Motte Private Cellar, historic landmark in the Franschhoek Valley, home to South Africa's gourmet capital.  The style reflects old-world traditions skilfully harmonized with new-world intensity.

Matured in oak barrels for fourteen months to produce a full-bodied wine with cherry tobacco and dark chocolate flavours.
