Initial impressions of lovely red fruit and cherries give way to sweet cedar oak aromas.  An abundance of black fruit upon entry leads to a big, juicy middle with soft, well rounded tannins.  A classic Cape Blend with a pleasant lingering aftertaste.  Serve with stews, game dishes or lamb shank.

One afternoon, at harvest time, my mischievous son Jason and his friend Justin let the goats out of their tower and sent them for a walkabout amongst the vines. As in the legend of the Yemeni goat herder, whose roaming flock first discovered the joys of coffee beans, our goats picked out the best and tastiest fruit. Their choice serves as our inspiration for this wine, blended from juicy, full flavoured varietals with a bouquet of red fruit and suble spice. Goats do Roam will bring joy to any occasion.

The Painted Wolf is also known as the African Wild Dog or Painted Dog - a highly social animal, each with its own ornate markings.  The den is at the heart of the pack, a place where Painted Wolves relax and bond.  The Den Pinotage is luscious, fruit-packed and full-bodied - a social wine to enjoy with family, friends and good food.
