An historic 18th century wine farm, Groote Post is located nearby Darling, less than an hours drive from Cape Town on the West Coast of South Africa.  An oasis of calm and serenity, the cellar has consistently produced a range of award winning wines from cool climatic conditions.  The Pentz family extend a warm invitation to experience their wonderful wines and to visit the award winning restaurant Hilda's Kitchen when next in the fairest cape.

The Peter Barlow pays tribute to the man who had the foresight to purchase Rustenberg in the 1940s and invest in making it the icon it is today.  No expense is spared in the making of this wine:  it is sourced from hand-harvested Cabernet Sauvignon from acclaimed vineyards on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain in Stellenbosch, and aged for 24 months in French oak.  It exhibits an abundance of cassis and blackcurrant, with hints of cedar and cigar box, plenty of body and a structured backbone of fine-grained tannins.  Patient cellaring of this wine will be rewarded.

In a small cellar in the Jonkershoek valley limited quantities of hand-picked grapes are personally vinified by Ettiene le Riche into red wines which reflect the nature of the fruit and the soil. These wines are oak-matured and after further maturation they will be quite superb.
