An intense full bodied wine showing violets and hints of vanilla on the nose with mocha and toffee characters on the palate. Aged for twenty-four months in French oak barriques

Exceptional cassis and cloves, with a touch of dried herb and vanilla aromas.  The palate deligths with elegant flavours of blueberries and cherries followed by well-structured and firm tannins.

This wine, classic in style, was grown and produced on the historic Meerlust Estate which has been owned by the Myburgh family for eight generations. It will complement fine food and benefit from further bottle maturation for up to 20 years from vintage date.
