A rich and full-bodied wine with ripe berry fruit, cherry and delicate oak spice flavours, firm tannins and a lingering aftertaste. Excellent on its own or with roast lamb, red meat such as beef and venison, red meat casseroles, poultry and game bird dishes.
Heavy savoury oak aromas combined with pencil shavings and hints of dark fruits, plum and cassis. This wine shows great structure and balance. Initial Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics are followed up with a spicy finish from the Shiraz. With great tannin structure and a strong backbone this wine has excellent ageing potential.
It is with great pride that Audacia brings you an authentic and patented "no sulphites (SO2) or other preservatives added" red wine, made using Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) and Cyclopia Genistoides (Honey Bush) wood as part of the unique wine making recipe and process.
Rooiblos and Honey Bush are indegenous to the Western Cape of South Africa and produce wood with rare characteristics and properties that contribute to the making of this delicious unique red wine.
