This Shiraz is a generous, full-bodied wine with a smoky, scented bouquet, excellent fruit concentration and a good ageing potential.
Named after a former charismatic owner/winemaker, this blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot exhibits blackcurrant and pepper-spice characters complemented by a seamless tannin structure. Aged in French oak barrels, this wine can be enjoyed in its youth or after maturation under ideal cellar conditions.
Diemersfontein Carpe Diem Pinotage has inviting flavours of raspberries, cherries and pencil shavings on the notes, followed with rich fruit flavours of plum and berries, rounding it all off with supple tannins on the palate.
Great with roast duck, lamb casseroles and even chocolate soufflé. South African staples Bobotie, Bunny Chow and Braai all begs for a glass of Pinotage!
Hand-picked Grenache from Stelenbosch's finest vineyards and aged in French oak for 16 months.
Cellaring: 5 - 8 years from vintage under ideal conditions.
Medium bodied with red fruits and fine tannins, great with cured meats, lamb, pork & mushroom based dishes.
