This truly traditional fortified wine was crafted by hand-picking, foot-stomping, unfiltered-passion. Touriga Nacional and South Africa's own Pintoage join forces to produce this structured delight offering warm, complete flavours. Nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands, we select only the finest grapes from vineyards on both the Eastern and Western side of Stellenbosch, to produce superb quality wines.

Our Chenin d' Muscat shows a proud end of harvest product (still under original 1928 label design) stylishly crafted from Chenin Blanc and a touch of Muscat d"Alexandrie, fermented and thereafter aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

This wine shows layers of spicy apricto, peach and honeycomb flavours - concentrated to a well rounded palate and a long aftertaste of zesty fruit.

In the 18th and 19th centuries the "sweet, luscious and excellent wine called Constantia, so highly esteemed in Europe" was the only wine in the Southern Hemisphere to achieve international acclaim. Napoleon, King Louis Philippe of France, Charles Dickens and Frederick the Great all demanded it while Jane Austen even recommended it as a cure for a broken heart. Now, a century after its disappearance comes the renaissance - Vin de Constance - carefully made in the style of the old Constantia, from vineyards which once produced this legendary wine.
