Tusker Beer is the oldest beer brand to be brewed and marketed in East Africa. It is also the biggest brand by volume in East Africa and the biggest lager beer brand in the Diageo portfolio. The beer is brewed from the unique equatorial barley malt, the only malt to be grown in the unique climate of the equator. It has a unique and easy to drink taste, making it the automatic choice of accompaniment to roast meat, a common delicacy in Kenya. At 4.2% ABV, it is suitable for long social sessions with friends. Tusker has been awarded numerous gold medals internationally.

A great mild beer, Lion Lager has a 4.8% alcohol volume and is credited as a great thirst quencher.  Golden roasted malt in colour with a hint of fruit and caramel flavouring, it is very slightly sweet with less hop notes.

In the mid 1970's, international trends and local market conditions were calling for a brand of beer with Germanic heritage. SAB responded with the launch of Hansa Pilsener in November 1975. As a completely new beer style in South Africa, Hansa had the special attributes of being light, drinkable, refreshing and thirst quencing.
