Beyerskloof Pinotage Rosé

$29.95 aud

This Pinotage Rosé wine was made from grapes harvested from 30-year old Pinotage bush vines, grown in the premium wine producing area of Stellenbosch. The brilliant deep colour of the wine results from the crushed grapes remaining in contact with their red skins for a period of 12 hours. This also gives greater depth and richness to the deliciously fresh red fruit flavours of Pinotage. A perfect summer drink, this bone dry wine is best served chilled and is an ideal accompaniment to cold meats, salads, tuna steaks and aromatic or spicy meat dishes.

Grunberger Freudenlese

Dr Alfred Baumgartner and his colleagues at The Bergkelder developed the original Grunberger in 1953. It was inspired by the famous German wines from the Rhine Valley, an area rich in romanticism and mythology. The clearly identifiable rounded shape of our "bocksbeutel" sets Grunberger apart from all other wines. Grunberger was positioned as the Prince of Wines and with its intense flavours and enhanting aromas it has the unique ability to excite the senses.

Stellenrust Chenin Blanc

Nestled in the heart of the Cape Winelands, we select only the finest grapes from vineyards on both the Eastern and Western side of Stellenbosch to produce superb quality wines. This wine expresses ripe tropical fruit on the nose. The palate is enriched with zesty grapefruit and peardrop flavours with a lingering aftertaste. It was lightly oaked for 4 months to promote flavour and can be drank now or over the next few years. Enjoy with Mediteranian pizza or ceasar salad.

Fat Bastard Chardonnay

This Chardonnay was blended from a selection of the best wines from the ultra-ripe harvest.  From the start, our aim was to produce a Chardonnay with intense fruit flavour and real character utilising quality grapes.

All fruit was harvested in the early hours and the juice pressed while the grapes were still cool to help retain aroma and flavour.  The wine was tank fermented with an element of quercus fragmentus which added greater weight and complexity.

The wine shows classic ripe, rich butter and tropical fruit on the nose and soft, well integrated vanilla on the palate.
