45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42 Shiraz, 13% Merlot. Guardian Peak Wines brought to you by the dynamic partnership of Jean Engelbrecht and Ernie Els, and made by internationally acclaimed winemaker, Louis Strydom.
This Cabernet Sauvignon offers ripe fruit, cherries and oak spice that follow from nose to palace. Delicious with a hearty Sunday roast of beef or lamb with gravy.
This wine reflects Graham Joshua Beck's great love of Shiraz. A co-fermentation of Shiraz (93%) and Viognier (7%). The Joshua is barrel matured for 15 months in new fill Oak. The two varieties form a seamless combination to create a rich and rewarding wine of depth and complexity. The perfect accompaniment to rich meat stews, grilled rack of lamb, rare roast beef and ostrich fillet.
A blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Alto Rouge was aged in oak barrels for 18 months. A fruity wine with delicious flavours of toasty tobacco, chocolate and vanilla, the ideal wine for hearty red meat dishes and will age well.
